Hi all, been working from home for last 3 weeks and thought why not have another look at CB and Side Banding after 37 years OFF
Got myself a Kenwood TS 44-TS off Face Book today and unlocked the CB band, temp put up a half wave ANT and SWR it (still after all this time not forgotten how to do it)
Had 3 quick chats just on FM CB FREQ and looking to have some side band fun
If anyone can give me some advice on where to find some like minded people on side band to test my new setup with please let me know ?

Welcome to the forum Travis.
You could try 27.555 USB for the dx calling channel, and have a listen either side for conversations. It will be a bit quieter now than 30 odd years ago though, CB's gone out of fashion these days. Good luck with the hobby.

There's a reasonable level of activity around your way and across in South Wales on FM still. Solar conditions are just starting to stir and DX propagation on SSB isn't great yet. It is mainly the southern Europeans who are getting the best of it and we up north will have to wait. But we are coming into Sporadic E season and there have been 3 or 4 openings of one sort or another in the last week.
27555 is still the calling frequency on SSB. Now SSB is legal on the Mid block there are various nets around the country using it as well - Ch 39/27395 on a Thursday night probably being the biggest in the south when people can get up on hills again.
