Hi all,
I'm Karel Gol, living in the city of Steenwijk in The Netherlands. My current profession is math teacher but i'll retire in a few years. Back in the 80's i owned a Senfor skyline 2008 mobile, which must still be living in my attic. In the meantime i've accumulated so much stuff that i can't reach it anymore. Got back in the hobby when my son was given an Albrecht mobile. Together we experimented with mobile antennas and finally made some contacts in our neighborhood. We are both attracted to old school transceivers, so he now has a president lincoln I and i could get a bargain on a Superstar 2000. Both have CW options so i 3D printed a cw-key, attached it to a USB-mouse and am now learning CW on LCWO.net.
I kindly request a CT callsign, suppose that will be something like 19CT...

A short question, as i'm new to using a callsign. Could i also use PA-CT-024? What is the difference between the 19 and a PA callsign?

Hello Karel.
The 19 in your call sign is the division number for the Netherlands so I would use that as it's a internationally recognised format. Your call sign is made up from three constituents 19 (the Netherlands) CT (our DX group) and 024 (your personal number) I hope this helps.

I understand, thanks. A bit more digging got me the difference. PA through PI is for officially licensed amateurs from The Netherlands. Those callsign are issued by the" Authority Telecom", a Dutch governmental institution.
