Hello, thank you very much for letting me join your forum My name is Melvyn and Im from Canterbury kent, When CB was first happening in the early 80’s in the UK I was seriously into it, I was probably only about 12 or so then but absolutely loved it, when my parents moved it got packed away and forgotten about, every so often I would come across it and plug it in throughout the years with an old dv27 Ariel on an aluminium ground plane in my bedroom (as my parents moved a lot) but no one much seemed to be on! Fast forward a couple or so decades and Kate and I were putting the Christmas decorations away and I spotted an old box with cb’s written on it, I dusted it off and plugged them back in and have been on it ever since, there’s a lot more people on here now, we copied 5 people from Northern Ireland one after the other the other night on the UK 40 reaching them at 60+ dB which absolutely amazed me and another from Germany which I couldn’t believe, So now I’m back and loving every minute of it!!!!! Please could I have a Charlie tango call sign as I can’t wait to see if I can get further afield when the skips rolling in Thank you very much, Melvyn
