Hi my name is Andy and my QTH is Helensburgh in Scotland, I started on CB radio late 70's through the 80's down in Essex. I completed the basic 2Meters ametures back then. I have been involved in electrical & electronics repairs since and a back ground in industrial maintenance all my working life, I took early retirement four years ago and want to get back on air again. I would like to request a CT call sign please.

Hi Andy,
Welcome to Charlie Tango.
Gary should be along fairly soon to issue you a callsign.
I'm pretty sure, (but might be wrong), that your old 'Part B' VHF/UHF licence could be validated for current use with the HF privilages that foundation licensees now have(?) Might be worth finding out.

Welcome back to the airwaves it's good to see more operators in Scotland returning as it can be a little quiet at times I find. Many of us gave a similar story coming back after a break of several decades looking to indulge in some of that old radio magic again.
