Anybody run there psu 24/7. I want to rearrange my shack and where i want to put it would be awkward for me with my disability to get to. PSU is a liner MyDEL 30amp with auto fan cooling (upgraded fan silent now). Thanks in advanced. Alan.

Alan ,as my shack is outside I have a purpose outside plug socket on the wall near by it on the wall to a cable to the shack so all I have to do is lift the cover on the switch and switch it on ,so I leave my PSU and heater and lights in the shack on but there off until I switch on main outside switch, I dont know how your set up is maybe you could the same then you dont have to leave it on for 24/7.

Hi Alan,
As you know I'm disabled myself so not up to reaching awkward switches as well.
My solution is the same as many have with a master switch to turn the whole lot off. My workshop has a main switch so a simple flick of the switch shuts down the whole workshop as I exit the door. In my shack I have two such main switches, one for the radios and another for the PC/soldering iron/test gear setup.
As none of the gear takes nowhere near 13A mains together, I use simple isolator switches which are cheap enough from most DIY/trade outlets.
Don't think I'd fancy leaving a linear supply connected 24/7, just in case.
Be great to have a dirty big Dr. Frankenstein knife switch on the wall though "More Watts Igor!"
