Subject: Introduction and Call-sign Request (Issued) Wed Dec 02, 2020 6:24 am
Hello everyone, I am glad to join this group. I have worked in electronics (Radio Communications Maintenance) for most of my life and as a television station engineer for a few years. I was in the USAF for 20 years and worked as a technician, Instructor, and a technical manual writer until I retired. Was a Advanced Class Ham operator for Many years before letting my license expire and getting out of it about 15 years ago. I have been interested in CB radio off and on for most of my life and have recently got back into it. I Have a Bearcat 980 and an inverted V antenna right now. I have a 150 watt solid state amp that I can use when needed. I plan on building a Moxen antenna soon and will try to work the UK with it. I have a Dentron GLA-1000 I am thinking of converting for use with different tubes and also converting for 11 meters. I look forward to working some of you when the band conditions are right. I would appreciate it if you could issue a CT callsign to me. I also am interested in Amateur Astronomy and Video Astronomy. I recently bought a SDR that operates from 50 kHz to 2000MHz with a 3.5 inch touch screen. Thanks for listening.

Hello and welcome, John.
Nice intro. I have started a new topic for you, John. It will make it easier for Gary to see your request for a call-sign and other members to welcome you.
