There seems to be a lot of options on these, with the sellers on eBay, I noticed someone in Cornwall is doing. A 25.615 to 26.055 going right through to UK FM. Very confusing can someone please explain...
I was on Ssb 40 years ago, it's been a long time..

ghoshy, your Mid band is all mixed up. You don't need to program in the Alpha channels. Or midnight's whatever they are. You have a +10kc button the front of the radio.

Paul.

At a guess i would say zero's on super low to super hi as they are usually 5's. But he only has 15 extra channels. 5 Alpha's and only 10 midnights so possibly not what i said.

Paul.

Just Googled it guys. It says that it is basically the first 15 channels on the Hi band.
27.405 - 27. 595.
That's a weird way to program a radio.

Paul.

PS : If anyone wants a decent DAT file for the 6900n V6 just ask.

Band A is 28.255 - 28.655 - 10mtr SSB
Band B is 26.065 - 26.505
Band C is 26.515 - 26.955
Band D is 26.965 - 27.405
Band E is 27.415 - 27.855
Band F is UK40

Whatever they are Paul I have never heard of anything called  midnight's, there is nothing special about the first 15 channels on the high band so why would they have a special name , TBH I would say it's a local slang thing that where Ghoshy area is for some reason .

Must have been something that when CB was legalised it's what the newbies to CB  made up because never heard of that term before CB was legalised ,because when I  started  in CB radio many moons ago CB/81 FM wasn't even thought about or heard of, so to me its just the first  part of the high band .

Be interesting to see if Mr Ghoshy can explain where his terminology came from.
