Latest Buxton 2020 News: Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic we have had to cancel this year's Buxton date. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Let me introduce myself, I'm Geurt (aka: GeeBee) I'm 52 years of age and i live in Nijmegen, Netherlands.
I've had my first cb action when i was 12 years of age, with my first AM radio (wich was illegal ) Made my first international SSB contacts and about 5 years later (and a few radio's later) with a President Madison 4 x 80 channels, that i bought myself. With a nice "heater" behind it, i made contacts half way around the world! Unfortunately my GPA27 antenna did'nt survive the great amount of whiskeys , and i blew up the finals of my beloved Madison I made me quit the hobby..
But! last year the cb-itch started again and i got myself a used President Madison from a friend! I had it aligned and fixed where necessary by HF Dokter Klaus in Germany ( Thnx Simon the Wizard for the contacts !!)
These days i work with a Midland Alan 8001, but if the skip is good i fire up the Madison and allready had some contacts with UK stations!
I've been in the UK for lots of times and had the best holidays there!
Hope to make some contacts with upcoming skip this autumn/summer And i would be happy to get a CT callsign
