Are you specifically after Ni-Cd? All of the AA rechargeables I have are now Ni-MH.
If it helps any I use the Panasonic Eneloop's on the whole as they will hold their charge longer when not in use. I charge a whole bunch of them and then they're always ready to go when I need them. They don't seem to care about the cold either holding their charge much longer under such conditions than any other AA's I've ever had.
There are the 'pro' versions of the aforementioned but I never found the extra capacity that useful, plus they're more expensive and you can't seem to recharge them as many times.
Otherwise I use the cheaper Energizer's, I have a whole bunch of them too. They suffer more in the cold than the above losing their charge in storage but are cheap and plentiful.
I much prefer the 'simpler' approach to rechargeable batteries.....some like to technical 'hoo-hah' about them all
Anyway, hope that helps.
All the best,
