Not Happy to see no reply to a few questions that have been asked about have not been answered by admin. Is this group really as good as the name it used to have. I know there is a few problems but seems to me the problems are when they are ok for others. Hate to have a small rant but we are all in the for the same reason. We say the airways are quite we should be encouraging people.

Here's a copy of a reply I sent to you Badger.

I think because you are a 26 division station and that's the last part of the database being restored. The call issued yesterday was for a Northern Ireland 68 division station but would be nice if Craig could clarify for you!

73's Gary.

I know it's a little frustrating, but please remember the forum is run by volunteers. The reconstruction of the call sign database involves thousands of call signs across all the divisions of the world! The 26 division (England) call signs are the last ones being restored and that's why it's taken so long to do it.
Bear with us and we will issue you a call as soon as we can.

Best 73's Gary.

Ok but there was others up in the 60s asking the same questions? They are still waiting on a call sign. All I am saying is that it’s ok to say one min call signs are not being given out then the next someone gets one in a space of hours? Think things should be made clear and everyone should be on the same level playing field. Like I said we all want the same thing and all try to contribute to the CT forum just when you see posts and call signs being given out so fast and others waiting weeks/months it feels a little unfair.

I only use the site for a quick read if i'm bored. I've expressed my disappointment at how long it takes the For Sale Ads to go " LIVE " due to the new pending approval. It's also the same if you edit your ad, you have to wait on approval again. If word gets around that things are taking too long ( not just the ads ) the New Blood will go elsewhere.

Paul.

I've had to re-register on here after being away a while.

My callsign was still on the old forum link in the callsign directory, so registering again was easy and i just added my callsign in my profile.

Maybe if the forum is that busy there should be more admin. Yes people have lives, kids, jobs etc and give up free time to run the CT forum just what direction is it going when people wait so long for things ?

Well said, Badger. The CT Forum is grossly understaffed for the monumental job in hand. Migrating from the abortion that was Tapatalk and re-coding the site to look like the original forum layout loved by so many has taken thousands of man-hours. Just PM Admin and indicate the amount of time you are willing to allocate weekly and I'm sure things will start running smoothly a lot quicker. If it weren't for the selfless dedication and motivation of the few like yourself, we'd all be mistaken for a bunch of omni-offended, self-entitled millenials.

With the Admin they have I feel they do an amazing job. But members could do more to help out is that not the idea of a forum?? There is a lot to do with the members there is. But don’t we want to bring more and more back into the world of CB Radio? The problem is the is a lot of members who Sit on the side lines. I have only been back on the air a few months now and a lot has changed but apart from the odd member and other chat groups I have had to look for a lot online. Not everyone is clued up on how to do things but know one wants to help. The opinions you get is “oh that’s easy or use this and that. If it was not for people like Fred (Fred in the shed) and the odd other a lot would be lost with what to do. There is so much change and not all of it is good. The world of cb radio used to be so so open and free so welcoming now it’s small groups that don’t want to let others in or help out. ☹☹
