| Hello Andy,
You're much more likely to suffer the interference in reverse these days. Most of us suffer QRM from all the electrical devices in peoples homes now.
I think it's unlikely you'll cause problems to the airport communications system they will be UHF digital now I expect, It's hard to be certain though.

| Its true what Gary said ,but even though SSB and AM modes are legal to use now, but it's still illegal to use any extra power ie: amplifiers on 11m so be careful, | |

| Overdriving your amp will cause splatter. Having the mic gain too high will cause splatter. Also if you've not got a decent RF ground for your antenna your coax will be radiating too and cause RFI - that can be easily solved by putting in a RF choke near the antenna. | |
