T k Brackets misleading advice Empty
PostSubject: T k Brackets misleading advice   T k Brackets misleading advice Icon_minitimeTue Feb 18, 2020 11:13 am

Was reading a satellite forum where the admin was telling a chap that he had his t k brackets the wrong way round and that the K should be at the bottom because it takes the weight.

Laugh i nearly shat that was probably the most misleading piece of rubbish ive read for years

Yes the K bracket does take the weight but it takes it up at the top as soon as you have tightened the u bolt up
The top bracket becomes the load bearer a child could stabilize the bottom part of the pole where there is no weight at all just movement which the T bracket prevents.Fair enough the bottom bracket takes the weight if the top bracket is not tightened but that wasn't his argument
