just getting back into radio from the 80s and got myself a uhf radio as that's what i thought people have upgraded to but what the hell. ive now gone and bought a cb also, a crt one n, i remember the ch19 random talk.. lol

Hello Howie,

I have not used the Thunderpole. However, if you are looking for a good mobile antenna, the Sirio 4000 is very hard to beat. The only downside is, that it is 2 metres in length. To get the best from modern cb/11m it would be advantageous to get a radio with ssb capability,as it is the preferred mode for DXing, if you can stretch to it.
