Hi Al,
I will have a listen for you on 11m. I have worked Barmouth before, from my dx location and I use to work our old mate Colin, regular from Angelesy.

Eyeing up a trip to Guernsey for a weekend - find a campsite, bit of radio from the beach, happy days! I had the 11m Field Day weekend in June in mind but I am in the middle of changing job over the next couple of months so it may not happen yet.

Well you won’t get bothered by the local stations because there ain’t any. I spent a week on Jersey last year and didn’t have any contact with anyone on the islands.

I think there is one operator active each on Jersey and Guernsey - I spoke to them both last year and they both thought that is the case. The only time I've seen them spotted on the Cluster is when I spotted them, though, so I guess they aren't all that active. Even with the dodgy propagation we have at present I think anyone who gets on SSB with 100W and a half-decent antenna should be able to generate a pileup at weekends.
